How to Clean the Derila Pillow: Cover vs Foam Core
Two different jobs: laundering the removable cover, and cleaning the foam core without ruining it.

Short answer
Derila’s own care instructions are specific: the removable cover is machine washable in cold water on a gentle cycle, then tumble dried on low or hung to dry. The memory foam core must not be washed — spot clean it only, with a mild detergent, and let it air dry away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Always check the care label supplied with your pillow too, since instructions can change between batches.
Washing the cover
- Unzip and remove the cover completely from the foam.
- Machine wash in cold water on a gentle cycle, as Derila instructs; skip fabric softener, which reduces breathability.
- Tumble dry on low, or hang to dry — Derila says hanging gives the best result.
- Check the sewn-in care label as well, in case your batch differs.
- Refit only when fully dry, to avoid trapping moisture against the foam.

Cleaning the foam core
Derila’s instruction is narrow: do not wash the core; spot-clean with mild detergent and air-dry away from sunlight and heat. Use as little moisture as possible, blot rather than scrub, and do not refit the cover until the foam is fully dry.
