Short answer
This page answers the short questions in a sentence or two each. Where a question deserves more, we link to the full guide rather than repeating it here.
Common questions
- Is the Derila pillow good for side sleepers?
- It can be, if its loft matches the distance from your shoulder to your head. Broader-shouldered sleepers often need more height than a compact contoured pillow offers.
- Which way round does the pillow go?
- Flat face down on the mattress, raised edge under your neck, dip under the back of your head.
- Can I machine wash it?
- The cover, yes — Derila says cold water, gentle cycle, tumble dry low or hang to dry. The foam core, no: Derila says spot clean only with mild detergent and air dry away from heat.
- How long does it take to get used to?
- There is no verified universal adjustment period. Assess the same setup consistently while keeping the return deadline in view; increasing pain is a reason to stop.
- Why does it smell when new?
- New polyurethane foam may release an odor. Air it unwrapped in a ventilated room; duration varies, and irritation is a reason to stop using it.
- Does it fit a standard pillowcase?
- Not snugly. Derila lists it at about 54 × 36 cm, well short of a standard case at roughly 75 × 50 cm, so a standard case will be loose. Use the supplied cover or a case sized for a contoured pillow.
- Will it stop my neck pain or snoring?
- We make no such claim, and there is no independently verified evidence that this pillow treats any condition. Speak to a healthcare professional about persistent symptoms.
- How big is it, and what does it weigh?
- Derila’s product page lists 21.3 × 14.2 × 4.7 in (about 54 × 36 × 12 cm) and 36.9 oz. A graphic on the same page shows a smaller 32 × 50 cm size, which we could not reconcile — see our size and dimensions page.
- What is the return window?
- Derila’s product page states 60 days, while a banner on the same site advertises 30-day returns. Confirm which applies to your order at checkout, and check where returns must be sent before you buy.
- Where can I buy it?
- From Derila’s own channels: the derilashop.com store (derila.com resolves there) and the derila-ergo.com sales page, plus regional subdomains. See our price and where-to-buy page for what to check at checkout.
- Is Derila a real company?
- Yes — live product pages, published specifications, a contact route and a working checkout all exist. A separate concern is sales practice: CHOICE found extra pillows pre-selected at checkout. See our legitimacy page.
